Dong Won Industry USA, LLC Limited Warranty (interior)

Dong Won Industry USA, LLC (“Dong Won Industry USA”) conditionally warrants to its direct customer that Dong Won Industry USA’s interior solar control fabrics will be without defects in materials and workmanship and will sustain functionality under ordinary conditions of use and treatment for a 10-year period beginning from the date of the original fabric invoice. This warranty does not cover ordinary changes to the fabric properties, including, but not limited to, gradual fading, which occur during exposure to ambient conditions. Other conditions to warranty coverage include:

  • Fabric must remain in its original installed location.
  • Fabric must be maintained in accordance with Dong Won Industry USA’s care instructions.
  • Fabric must be used and must undergo treatment in accordance to Dong Won Industry USA’s technical specifications.
  • Claims must be reported, and fabric must be returned, as set forth below.

This 10-year warranty only applies to the fabrics identified below:

  • 30DN 1%
  • 30DN 3%
  • 30DN 5%
  • 30DN 10%
  • 40DN 5%

How to file warranty claim
Dong Won Industry USA’s direct customer is required to report to Dong Won Industry USA’s Quality Dept.:

  • Any defects found with respect to color, strength, mesh configuration, or dimension that exist at time of initial delivery. Dong Won Industry USA must be notified of these defects within a reasonable period of time and before fabrication or installation of the material. Only full or partial rolls of fabric may be returned to Dong Won Industry USA for replacement under this warranty. Unused fabric must be returned within a reasonable period of time with cardboard tubing intact, or must be returned using secure repackaging.
  • Any claims concerning fabric quality (e.g., color variations, weaving abnormalities, or other defects) must be reported to Dong Won Industry USA within a reasonable period of time and prior to fabrication or installation of the window shade.
  • Any claims concerning fabric loss of functionality must be reported to Dong Won Industry USA prior to removal of the shade system from the window.
  • To make a warranty claim, contact Dong Won Industry USA via e-mail at sales@dwcorpusa.com with your invoice number. Dong Won Industry USA will investigate all claims. If, after the investigation, the warranty claim is approved, the Dong Won Industry USA customer will receive written confirmation of the approval of the warranty claim.

What is not covered:
This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Conditions or damage resulting from abuse, misuse, alterations, accidents, or failure to follow instructions for use, installation, measurement, cleaning, or maintenance, including those instructions located at the end of this limited warranty.
  • Ordinary wear and tear, including, but not limited to, fading over the lifetime of the product, deterioration when exposed to sunlight, high humidity, or extreme outdoor elements for prolonged periods.
  • Variations in colors from lot to lot (colors may not precisely match samples or previously purchased products).
  • Cracking or other instability due to the folding or creasing of coated fabrics.
  • Products used in outdoor environments unless expressly authorized for such use.

Who is covered:
This limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is nontransferable.

This warranty does not cover the costs of labor, dismantling the fabric from hardware or other disassembly, reassembly of replacement fabric onto hardware or other installation, transport or shipping, loss of time or inconvenience. Under this warranty, Dong Won Industry USA’s only obligation, and the customer’s sole remedy, will be the replacement of nonconforming fabric, returned within a reasonable period of time, after inspection and agreement by Dong Won Industry USA’s Quality Dept. Such replacement will be with like or similar fabrics.

In no event shall Dong Won Industry USA be liable for loss of profits or revenues, loss of use or similar economic loss, or any indirect, special, incidental, consequential or similar damages arising out of the sale of fabric to the customer, or any claim made against the customer by any third party, even where Dong Won Industry USA has been advised of the possibility of such claim. In no event shall Dong Won Industry USA’s liability exceed the purchase price actually paid by the customer for the fabric with respect to which such claim is made.

Except as expressly provided in this warranty, Dong Won Industry USA makes no representations or warranties of any kind, nature or description, express or implied, including without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness of any fabric for any particular purpose, and Dong Won Industry USA hereby disclaims any and all such warranties.

Some states do not allow the foregoing exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the foregoing limitation or exclusion may not apply to you and you may have other rights available in your state.

Care instructions

Solar screen, PVC-coated fabric sold by Dong Won Industry USA may be cleaned by light vacuuming, compressed air, or soft brushing for dust removal. Do not scrub. Wipe clean with sponge using clean water. Do not soak or completely immerse fabric. Allow shade to dry completely before raising.

Do not use cleaning methods involving bleach, abrasives, solvents, or heat. Use of these methods will void warranty.

Dong Won Industry USA, LLC (“Dong Won Industry USA”) conditionally warrants to its direct customer that Dong Won Industry USA’s exterior solar control fabrics will be without defects in materials and workmanship and will sustain functionality under ordinary conditions of use and treatment for a 5-year period beginning from the date of the original fabric invoice. This warranty does not cover ordinary changes to the fabric properties, including, but not limited to, gradual fading, which occur during exposure to ambient conditions. Other conditions to warranty coverage include:

  • Fabric must remain in its original installed location.
  • Fabric must be maintained in accordance with Dong Won Industry USA’s care instructions.
  • Fabric must be used and must undergo treatment in accordance to Dong Won Industry USA’s technical specification.
  • Claims must be reported, and fabric must be returned, as set forth below.

This 5-year exterior warranty only applies to the fabrics identified below:

  • 40DN 5%
